Child Safety Standards

Standards against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Effective Date: 6/9/2026

Zero Tolerance

Homi, LLC ("Homi") has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Such conduct and content are strictly prohibited on our platform. We act to prevent, detect, remove, and report any CSAE or CSAM, and we cooperate fully with law enforcement and relevant authorities.

Homi is an adult (18+) platform for finding roommates and housing. Protecting children is a responsibility we take seriously. These published standards describe our commitment to combating CSAE, the conduct we prohibit, how users can report violations, and how we respond. They apply to every user and to all content and communications on the Homi mobile application and related services (the "Services").

1. Adults-Only Platform

Homi is intended exclusively for individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to create an account or use the Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will remove the account. If you believe a minor is using the Services, please report it immediately using the contact details in Section 6.

2. Prohibited Conduct and Content

The following are strictly prohibited on Homi. Engaging in any of them will result in immediate removal of the content, termination of the account, and, where appropriate, reporting to law enforcement and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC):

  • Creating, uploading, sharing, transmitting, soliciting, or storing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualized content involving a minor, whether real, animated, or computer-generated.
  • Sexualizing, grooming, exploiting, or attempting to sexualize, groom, or exploit a minor in any way.
  • Using the Services to contact, lure, or facilitate any in-person or online meeting with a minor for a sexual or exploitative purpose.
  • Trafficking, advertising, or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child.
  • Sharing links, references, or instructions that promote or enable access to CSAM or the sexual exploitation of children.
  • Impersonating a minor or misrepresenting a minor's age to facilitate prohibited conduct.

3. Prevention and Detection

We take proactive measures to keep CSAE off our platform, including:

  • Requiring all users to confirm they are at least 18 years old and to agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, which prohibit CSAE.
  • Reviewing reports of CSAE and CSAM and reserving the right to review profile content, photos, and communications to enforce these standards (see our Privacy Policy regarding communication review).
  • Providing in-app reporting and blocking tools so users can quickly flag accounts, content, or messages that violate these standards.
  • Promptly removing prohibited content and disabling offending accounts.

4. Reporting CSAE Within the App

Every user can report concerns about child safety directly from the Homi app. To report a profile, message, or piece of content:

  • Open the profile or conversation in question and select the Report option, then choose the child-safety or CSAE reason.
  • Use the Block option to immediately stop further contact from that user.
  • Or email us directly at [email protected] with the details.

We review every report of CSAE and take action as quickly as possible. Reports may be made anonymously.

5. Our Response and Legal Compliance

When we identify or receive a report of CSAE or CSAM, we:

  • Remove the offending content as soon as possible.
  • Suspend or permanently terminate the responsible account(s).
  • Report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and/or to the appropriate law enforcement authorities, as required by applicable law.
  • Preserve relevant information as permitted or required by law to support investigations.
  • Cooperate with law enforcement and child-protection agencies in connection with their investigations.

We comply with all applicable child-safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which we operate, including U.S. federal reporting obligations regarding CSAM.

If you encounter content that sexually exploits a child, you can also report it directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or by calling 1-800-843-5678. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services (911 in the United States).
